ARMIN GHEYTASI

Born in May, 1982 in Iran.

Armin has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player in major halls and festivals in Iran and participated in numerous masterclasses in Europe. Armin has shown a remarkable educational activity and the commitment to his art and success in performing Flute makes him highly regarded and sought-after flutist among Iranian musicians.

  • Master of Music in Flute performance, Tehran’s Conservatory and University of Music under the guidance of Professor M.Ali Legha.
  • Participation in master classes of renowned flutists such as Professor Philip Raisin in (Switzerland), Professor Carl Gino in (Ukraine), Kooshyar Shahroodi in (France), Mehdi Jamei (Germany) & Forough Karimi in (Austria).
  • Attended Harmony courses held by Dr.M.Saeid Sharifian, Maestro Taghi Zarabi & Sharif Lotfi
  • Persistent performance in more than 2,000 albums and single tracks of famous singers in different genres as well as performance of movies, series, and theater soundtracks.
  • Principal flutists and leader of woodwind section of Iran’s leading orchestras such as Tehran Youth Symphony Orchestra, Tehran Municipality Orchestra, Melal Orchestra, Persian Philharmonic Orchestra, Parsian Orchestra, Iran Orchestra, Tehran Chamber Orchestra, Tehran Symphony Orchestra (conductors: Professor Manouchehr Sahbaei, Ali Rahbari, Shahdad Rohani), National Orchestra of Iran (Professor Farhad Fakheddini) Iranian National Music Orchestra and Ayo Opera Orchestra (Professor Loris Cheknavarian).
  • Founder, conductor and music arranger of Iran’s first big band & woodwind orchestra named “Aras Nova” most famous for their performance of Jazz, Latin and Fusion music.
  • The only musician in Iran able to play 10 local and International woodwind instruments.
  • Three times winner of the first prize and award winner of Fajr International Festival accompanied by “Aras Nova” wind orchestra in 2001, 2008 and 2009
  • Recognized as the “Fastest Flutist Ever” on world’s most prominent music websites for the performance of “Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov in 00:44:850 seconds (performing 20 notes per second) in 2016. This world record has not been broken yet.

  • Composer of Kurdish full album named “Ai Dil” by “Adil” one of the most popular Kurdish singers in Kurdish part of Turkey-Iraq/ Published in 2019.
